Domesticated
I am feeling all homey because it is that time of the year again. Christmas. My favourite season of the year. One where I blow serious money on non-functional gifts that perhaps will have no purpose in life. I love Christmas. I still do.
Today, a student of mine was asking for my christmas' eve plans. Yes, I have one. The BoyFriend is throwing a house party and I am dying to try out my new Red Potato Salad recipe! I remembered that when I was young, I used to have house parties at a neighbour's. For 6 years of my life, I recieved stationery sets as gifts. And the beauty was, my mum bought stationery sets for their kids as well. Then I grew older and started hanging out with my friends on the eve. We went for countdown where we had to squeeze with 10,000 other people and standing like for more than 6 hours. We did that for about 3-4 years. Then we grew old. We started having wholesome pot luck parties when we were college and talked through the night as if we were old forgies. I brought my sister to one of those then and she commented that it was so boring that she would not attend it in the future even if we pay her. Then I grew up. I started to spend christmas' eve with my parents and sisters.
Santa and Rudolf. You and me.

Simple American,
It is good that you do not require extra padding because the heat will get to you first.
very poignant. it is not a sign of age but rather as one grows older our view of the world and value changed. spending time with family ranks high with me too nowadays.
Simple American,
That's what they do do you in slimming centres isn't it? They stuffed you and make you sweat. And you will be slim. If you survived.
